How Can congestion Along With Low Grade Fever Be Treated?

I have had congestion, phlegm, low grade fever for a week. I thought today looked like a turnaround but I started feeling like my fever was back, it is 101.3 tonight. The congestion was beginning to resolve in being able to expectorate some of it. Right side of my face more involved than left. Settled in ear today. I am trying to get well enough to have a D&C scheduled for March 13. I usually try to ride these things out and may be overly concerned because I am looking at an end date. I can t take any meds because of the planned surgery. Snot is brown and bloody. I have used a netti pot twice.

Hello,

You need to take antibiotics and decongestant for few days. Fever is due to infection in respiratory tract.

Pain in face is from sinusitis. Before prescribing antibiotics can you please tell about your age,any other history of diseease, allergies etc.

Your input will help to guide and treat you better.

You can also directly report to emergency room for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
